When Plant Nanny is a good fit

Choose Plant Nanny if caring for a plant is a stronger reason to return than a chart or numeric goal. It records water, includes progress history, and makes plant growth part of the routine. That is a valid tracking approach, not just a game.

The documented focus is water intake. It is not a substitute for a caffeine-in-milligrams log or an estimate of caffeine at bedtime. WaterChamp is a closer fit when the contents of mixed drinks are the main concern.

Free and paid access

What user reviews add

Sample: 8 US App Store reviews, most recent returned by feed, inspected 8 September 2026. These examples are paraphrases, not a representative rating or a current defect test.

The tradeoff in these comments is the appeal of plant care versus access to paid content. We did not use reviewers’ health or weight-loss claims as evidence.

What to try before switching

Log the amount in your normal bottle and see whether plant care stays motivating after the novelty wears off. Check the access to the plants you actually want.

When WaterChamp is another option

Consider WaterChamp if you want water, caffeine and alcohol in one log, with an estimated caffeine curve and a last-coffee reminder. It is available on iPhone and Android and includes 102 selectable drinks. You can try the model in the caffeine calculator.

WaterChamp has no Apple Watch app or LUCY cap integration. Its widgets open the phone’s drink logger for confirmation. Some forecasts and analysis require Pro. Its estimates are not measurements of hydration, blood alcohol or sleep quality.
