What to check before deciding
Measure the task you repeat most: adding your normal bottle or cup. Then consider whether you want rewards beyond that task. Review impressions are mixed enough that trying the workflow is more useful than comparing star ratings.
Read the dated review examples and access notes for WaterMinder and Plant Nanny. They help identify questions to test, rather than establish a universal winner.
When WaterChamp is another option
Consider WaterChamp if you want water, caffeine and alcohol in one log, with an estimated caffeine curve and a last-coffee reminder. It is available on iPhone and Android and includes 102 selectable drinks. You can try the model in the caffeine calculator.
WaterChamp has no Apple Watch app or LUCY cap integration. Its widgets open the phone’s drink logger for confirmation. Some forecasts and analysis require Pro. Its estimates are not measurements of hydration, blood alcohol or sleep quality.
