Which should you choose?
Choose Plant Nanny when…
Plant Nanny is worth choosing when growing plants makes recording water satisfying in its own right.
Choose Water Reminder when…
VGFIT’s Water Reminder is worth choosing when the drinking record should include multiple drink types and named nutrients sent to Apple Health.

What to check before deciding
Check the cost of the features you need rather than comparing the download price. Premium plant content and premium drink or Watch access are different purchases.
Read the dated review examples and access notes for Plant Nanny and Water Reminder. They help identify questions to test, rather than establish a universal winner.
When WaterChamp is another option
Consider WaterChamp if you want water, caffeine and alcohol in one log, with an estimated caffeine curve and a last-coffee reminder. It is available on iPhone and Android and includes 102 selectable drinks. You can try the model in the caffeine calculator.
WaterChamp has no Apple Watch app or LUCY cap integration. Its widgets open the phone’s drink logger for confirmation. Some forecasts and analysis require Pro. Its estimates are not measurements of hydration, blood alcohol or sleep quality.
